Give us the reg
Online or on the phone. You get a straight price before anyone sets off.
Rick turns up
At the time you agreed – driveway, kerbside or an awkward spot. Non-runners are fine.
Up on the truck
Winched onto the flatbed, usually in about five minutes. You’re paid on collection.
Paperwork sorted
We go through the V5C logbook with you so DVLA knows the car is off your hands.
Certificate of Destruction
Issued by the Authorised Treatment Facility. DVLA refunds any full months of car tax left.
What’s my scrap car worth?
Most of a scrap car’s value is in its weight in metal, so prices go up and down with the scrap market. We look at:
- the make, model and weight of the car
- whether parts or the catalytic converter can be reused
- where it is and how easy it is to collect

Sussex Car Scrap is run by Rick, who has been scrapping cars across Surrey and South London as Car Scrap Surrey and now collects around Selsey, Chichester and Bognor Regis too.
Whether your car has failed its MOT, been in an accident or simply isn’t worth repairing, we make scrapping it simple. Give us your registration and we’ll give you a straight price. If you’re happy, we arrange a collection time that suits you and come to you, wherever the car is.
Your car goes to an Authorised Treatment Facility, and you receive a Certificate of Destruction so the DVLA knows it has been scrapped. By law, scrap cars can’t be paid for in cash, so you’re paid by bank transfer.
